Classroom Teacher
(part time 30 hours/week)
Henry Frost is an exceptional program for preschool aged children. The Henry Frost Children’s Program is run by Dr. Iris Chin Ponte, an experienced preschool educator and published researcher. Located in Belmont, MA, our programs are set in 19th century houses remodeled as preschools. Our buildings have been carefully crafted so that our indoor and outdoor learning environments are rich in possibilities and provocations that invite the children to undertake extended exploration and problem solving.
At Henry Frost, we follow the Complementary Curriculum Approach. The Complementary Curriculum Approach invites teachers to support children’s play, cultivate classroom environments with rich, interesting learning experience at the core, and commit to equitable classroom practices. The Complementary Curriculum Approach identifies four strategic and powerful teaching intentions that supports a child’s right to an exceptional experience rooted in an anti-bias stance. These intentions will invigorate and strengthen teacher practices and pave the way for meaningful, joyful engagement for children and the adults who work with them.
